Integrity is part of how SIMBIM delivers

At SIMBIM, ethics is not a separate layer added after the work is done. It is part of how we sell, advise, support, communicate, document, and improve. We believe that trust is built through consistency: saying what we will do, doing it properly, documenting it clearly, and correcting it quickly when something falls short. Our ethical approach supports the way we operate as an authorised software distributor and BIM consultancy serving AECO clients through software licensing, consulting, training, and support, with quality and information management embedded into the business.

Our commitment

SIMBIM is committed to conducting business with honesty, fairness, professionalism, and accountability. We expect these standards in every relationship: with customers, employees, suppliers, collaborators, technology partners, and other stakeholders. We promote accurate communication, responsible decision-making, respect for applicable legal and contractual obligations, and proper handling of records, deliverables, and confidential information. Our internal policy framework is built around documented roles, measurable objectives, controlled processes, and continual improvement, not informal assumptions.

Respect in every interaction

We expect professional conduct across all communications and working relationships. That means courtesy, clarity, timely follow-up, and respect for the dignity of others. Harassment, discrimination, retaliation, humiliation, or behaviour that undermines a safe and fair working environment has no place in SIMBIM. Equally, familiarity is never an excuse for poor judgement. Feedback must be purposeful, structured, and respectful. Humour must not create exclusion. Leadership must remain fair, and professionalism must remain visible.

Transparency, records, and responsible communication

Ethical business requires traceability. For that reason, SIMBIM places strong emphasis on visible, accurate, and structured records across customer, operational, and project activities. Communications should be professional and efficient. Customer interactions should be captured in the relevant systems. Decisions, handovers, and commitments should not depend on memory, personal inboxes, or informal side conversations. This discipline protects both our clients and our team: it reduces confusion, strengthens accountability, and helps ensure that nothing important is lost between sales, support, consulting, finance, and delivery.

Protection of information and reputation

SIMBIM is committed to protecting confidential, commercial, project, and personal information. We treat information security, proper access control, and responsible use of systems as ethical obligations as well as operational requirements. This includes protecting company and client data, limiting access to authorised users, preserving integrity of records, and ensuring that documented information remains available, controlled, and secure. We also expect all team members and representatives to act in ways that protect SIMBIM's reputation and the confidence placed in us by customers and partners.

Speaking up and improving

An ethical organisation is not one that never encounters problems. It is one that responds to problems properly. SIMBIM supports early reporting of risks, concerns, mistakes, complaints, and nonconformities. We investigate where necessary, act proportionately, correct issues without unnecessary delay, and use evidence to improve the system. In line with our quality management approach, ethics is reinforced through monitoring, review, corrective action, and leadership accountability. We would rather surface an issue clearly than allow it to become structural through silence.

Public statement

Our standard is simple: be clear, be fair, be respectful, keep proper records, protect information, and act in a way that strengthens trust. At SIMBIM, business ethics is not decorative language. It is part of delivery quality.
