Advanced Archicad course in ten learning units (M201–M210) that delves into free-form modelling, façades, modelling strategies, MEP installations, advanced documentation, metadata, 4D-5D and the complete Open BIM workflow with IFC, Solibri and coordination.
Each unit consists of recorded video lessons and its own quiz as evidence of learning achievement. Once all the units have been completed, the course's final exam draws questions from all of them. Approximate total duration of the lessons: around 34 hours.
Description: In this session, we will work on modelling complex shapes using the Morph and Shell tools. We will explain how to create and edit these shapes for a wide variety of purposes, from conceptual modelling to object modelling, complex structures, and more. Description: In this session, we will work with the BIM model from a strategic standpoint, learning to manage two of the most important functions for correctly managing models: working with Hotlink files and the Gestor de Atributos. In the second part of the class, we will work on creating custom objects using Archicad tools, particularly the development of doors and windows. Description: This session is aimed at working with building services networks (MEP) in Archicad. Participants will learn to model and edit duct, pipe and cable tray networks and to manage mechanical objects in order to build the complete BIM Model for MEP. Description: In this session, you will get to know in detail the management of the work environment in Archicad, considering user preferences as well as company-level settings. Description: This session will cover metadata management in Archicad, making the most of working with properties and expressions, learning to import data from Excel spreadsheets and learning to display this metadata graphically using the Sobrescritura Gráfica function. In addition, Incidencias management and all the model comparison functionalities during the coordination and design process will be explained. Description: This session will focus in depth on extracting measurements from the BIM model. Measurement parameters and rules in Archicad will be explained, participants will learn to work with component and surface schedules, and the possibilities of connecting Archicad with specific measurement and costing programs will be shown.
