Last week in Barcelona, we experienced one of the most advanced BIM certification workshops in Europe jointly organized by GRAPHISOFT SE and its distributor and exclusive training center in Spain (SIMBIM® Solutions). 21 enthusiastic BIM experts arrived from 10 countries to attend the second international #graphisoftLEARN BIM Manager Certification Workshop that is dedicated to end-users. During this one-week intense certification workshop, presenters and participants exchanged their views and experiences on project-based and organizational-based BIM implementation experience and compliance with different local or international standards.

Based on the introduction of #graphisoftLEARN program (GRAPHISOFT BIM Classes) in November 2018 in Spain as the first implementation of GRAPHISOFT certification programs and training center worldwide and enthusiastic industry and ARCHICAD community feedback, eventually November 2019, this certification workshop rolled out in Spain. “As one of the outcomes of this certification workshop, we expect to shortly have new GRAPHISOFT certified BIM Managers in Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia, Chile, Ecuador, Poland, United Kingdom, Croatia and Slovakia. These future certified BIM managers will be the agents of change for 2020 digitalization process of AEC industry” said Dr. Mohsen S. Far, Senior BIM Consultant and head of GRAPHISOFT distribution channel and exclusive training center at SIMBIM® Solutions.

This certification workshop presented by two senior BIM consultants from house of ARCHICAD; GRAPHISOFT head quarter in Budapest; Pantelis Ioannidis who is responsible for the BIM Manager Program at GRAPHISOFT with many years of industry experience on developing and delivering training and implementation plans to customers worldwide, and  Szabolcs Kari, who is member of GRAPHISOFT training and certification team with experience of implementing BIM in governmental institutions beside being involved in the Hungarian BIM Standardization processes with a great effort in the creation of the Hungarian BIM Protocol.

“We try to provide lots of information around BIM workflows at three different levels; the first level is the office level, which is the high-level information in relation to standards, and then the template level. So, we try to take these standards and implement them at the template level, and then at the project level that takes the template and then make it even more specific to satisfy information requirement at the project level” said Pantelis Ioannidis, Senior BIM Consultant at GRAPHISOFT SE and responsible for the BIM Manager Program.

BIM Manager Week Barcelona 2019

Said Ioanna Alsasua, Senior BIM Consultant and Chief operation officer at SIMBIM® Solutions.
