The second session in the collaboration between SIMBIM and Baumit, devoted to bringing SATE systems into the Archicad model. Martina D'Andrea reviews how composites are created in Archicad and what the Baumit Tools add-on brings to the programme; María Dolores Sánchez sets out the plinth solution and the ceramic system; and José Luis Muñoz resolves both solutions live on a housing model, from editing the composite through to running the plinth around the whole perimeter.

A session recorded in 2017 that works through, on a practical case, the complete chain running from the BIM model to the cost estimate and the construction programme. The model of the Fira Barcelona entrance hall is built in Archicad, exported in IFC format and loaded into STR Vision CPM, where quantities are extracted from the building elements themselves, bill items are generated from price lists, model versions are compared and the Gantt chart for the works is assembled.
